Leonard Slatkin conducts Schubert’s “Unfinished” Symphony, its two movements no less captivating for their brevity. The DSO also performs Rachmaninoff’s ravishing Symphony No. 3, and composer and DJ Mason Bates joins the orchestra for the his electronica/orchestral fusion, The B-Sides, with its last movement an homage to Detroit, the birthplace of techno.
