School on delay for Tuesday

The School District of Lancaster has already issued a two-hour delay for Tuesday due to the extreme weather. The temperature currently (2:30 p.m.) is 33 degrees with a wind chill of 22.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting temperatures in the Lancaster area to drop to three degrees tonight. The wind chill values will be as low as a negative 17. The NWS warns that frostbite and hypothermia can be possible with these temperatures.

The School District of Lancaster has already had two snow days this year. The school will be in session on Thursday, 17 April and Tuesday, 20 May to make up for them.
