High School seniors who live in Lake Ronkonkoma, or Ronkonkoma and attend either Connetquot High School or Sachem High School North can apply for a $500.00 scholarship. There are four being handed out, two for each high school.
On Labor Day weekend the Fourth Annual Street Fair was held in Lake Ronkonkoma and raised $2000.00 for the scholarships for graduating seniors. Each school will be giving out two scholarships. Students must be a current business student OR receiving special education. One graduating business student and one graduating special education student from EACH high school will be awarded a $500.00 scholarship.
Students must be residents of either Ronkonkoma or Lake Ronkonkoma and will need to contact their high school guidance office for an application. The application deadline is Monday, May 3, 2010. The scholarships will be awarded in June of 2010.
