San Jose, CA (March 21) -- March is Women's History Month and the Society of Women Engineers recently announced their scholarship program for 2013.
"If you are a current or soon to be a student and in need of some scholarship funds," the sponsor's flyer said, this is the time to apply.
Deadline for the SWE SCV 2013 Scholarship is March 30, 2013.
The Santa Clara Valley Section (SCVS) provides scholarship to qualified women high school graduates, and re-entry college and university students pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (BS) or Master's Degree (MS) in engineering or computer science. This, however, is not available to Doctoral Degree ( Phd) students.
According to Alya Ethaway, President - Santa Clara Valley Section in her press statement said - "the scholarship is awarded primarily on the basis of scholastic achievement, motivation, and interest in engineering. Each recipient will receive a $1,000.00 award".
