In case the epidemic hasn’t spread to the MPS community, students from Hope Christian School created a spoof of Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),” and it has become a web sensation with over 61,000 hits.

The video, featured on Fox 6 News, contains positive messages about the importance of school and is delivered in a child-approved manner.

Hope Christian School is a private Milwaukee school, but this creative approach to changing kids’ attitude about education is refreshing and overdue in Milwaukee. And it was nice to see staff participating as well. It is sure to inspire others.

Maybe the MPS district can find a way to temporarily unblock YouTube just this one time?

At least they're singing about something good, not typical of teens
