Schenectady's Union Cafe drops dinner service

SCHENECTADY -- Sometimes reality gets in the way of dreams. That's the case with Jessica Hollenbeck's Union Cafe.

She has decided to end the Thursday-Saturday dinner service she began on November 1, 2012, at the now-nine-month-old enterprise. The reason?

"Family has to be a priority and my children have been missing their mother and I have been missing them as well," she writes on Facebook.

The schedule, which reverts to the original hours, offers breakfast and lunch until 3 p.m. (2 p.m. on Sundays).
