Stillpoint at Beckside, an ecumenical Christian day-retreat center in Bellingham, WA, recently completed renovations on a new retreat space: The Cabin. The Cabin is available for those who wish to schedule a partial or full Quiet Day of reflection. Cozy and rustic, The Cabin features a small library, gas stove, and woodsy mountain views.
“For someone like me whose home is nestled in the middle of a small city, it was wonderful to spend a day in the rural woodsy setting of the Stillpoint cabin. The silence was beautiful.” -RK, Anacortes, WA
Stillpoint’s mission is to welcome all who seek to experience the Mystery of God. Stillpoint offers the community resources and events to nourish and support the journey into wholeness. Trusting that the Mystery of Christ among us* is self-revealing and intimately knowable, Stillpoint provides inside and outside reflective space for exploring creative forms of prayer. (*Colossians 1:26-28)
Stillpoint at Beckside is located at 1625 Huntley Road, Bellingham, WA, about 20 minutes from downtown Bellingham. The rural retreat center/home is situated on five acres, with easy access to Mt. Baker Ski Area and several local wineries.
The Cabin is just steps away from spacious outdoor reflection areas, two labyrinths, and views of Mt. Baker, and is the perfect spot for those who wish to spend time in silence. Some of the indoor activities that our guests enjoy include:
- silence
- prayer
- meditation
- Bible/spiritual reading
- spiritual direction
- yoga
- artwork
- journaling
If arranged in advance, a meeting with one of the spiritual directors at Stillpoint can take place during a Quiet Day. The fee for spiritual direction is separate from the fee for use of The Cabin.
