Scheana Marie on the negativity regarding her song and her future career plans

Scheana Marie performed her hit single during the Gary Pride Parade on Monday's new episode of Vanderpump Rules, but unfortunately, it wasn't well-recieved by some of the cast. Luckily, Scheana didn't let her co-stars' negativity get her down.

"I was so excited when Lisa asked me to perform at Pride. Gay Pride in West Hollywood is a huge event every year with thousands of people. It is seriously so much fun and there's always such good energy at the parade -- I was honored to be a part of this day," Scheana wrote in her Bravo blog on December 9. "I don't care if my song annoys people because Lisa asked me to perform and I couldn't be having more fun!"

As fans could see from the show, Scheana couldn't have cared less about what the other girls thought of the song -- or what they thought about her. Instead, she and her friends, including new cast member Ariana Madix, danced their butts off in honor of equality while the others gossiped about how Jax was sleeping with.

Also in her blog, Scheana discussed her future career plans, telling fans that she isn't going to be a pop star for life. Instead, she wants to get into the business of hosting.

"I definitely don't see myself trying to pursue the pop star thing for that long. For now it's fun, and I enjoy every minute of it. But as far as a career, I would eventually love to get back into my journalism roots and go the broadcast route," she revealed. "I would really love to end up hosting my own entertainment news show down the line."
