Everyone loves NY so what better way than to celebrate the greatest city in the world then by releasing a fragrance or two inspired by NYC? ScentWorld, LLC has just done that by announcing its release of two new scents that capture the spirit and life of New York City.
On February 6, 2012, Ms. Henshaw Jones, who is renowned for her efforts in preserving and re-building the South Street Seaport Museum, and Ms. Winston Wolkoff, widely recognized as an innovative leader in the American fashion industry, took part in presenting the two new scents called ‘the Scent of Resilience and The Scent of Departure of New York City’ during ScentWorld’s opening night welcome reception held that evening for the two day event surrounding ScentWorld’s Smitty Awards event.
Capturing two different aspects of NYC and representing everything that the city has to stand for each scent was created to capture the strengths and characteristics of the city. "The ‘Scent of Resilience’ fragrance was created to symbolizes the strength, optimism and sense of community of New York and surrounding areas, in the face and aftermath of Hurricane Sandy,…‘Resilience’ depicts the various elements that make New York and the New York area unique - bold flavors, vibrant lights, dynamic skyscrapers and lots of attitude!” ” as stated by Caroline Pieper-Vogt, President of ScentWorld, LLC and Steven Claisse, the corporate Senior Vice President of Creative Development and Senior Perfumer at Belmay, as well as creator of the “Resilience” scent. With the modern and crisp smell of apples 'The Scent of Departure NYC' fragrance, created by the world-renowned Histoires de Parfums’Gérald Ghislain, "…takes you on a trip into Gotham’s greenest parks and brightest streets...and is…the essence of New York City in a bottle.”
No word at this as to when the two fragrances will be released to the public or even what the bottles will resemble but once additional information is released it will be posted here!
