President Barack Obama was sworn in at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DCand delivered his inaugural address. Vice President Joe Biden was also sworn in for his second term during the ceremony, today, Monday, Jan 21. The inauguration theme was “Faith in America’s Future.”

The famed Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, a 285-voice chorale sang a new arrangement of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” on the steps of the U.S. Capitol after civil rights activist Myrlie Evers, wife of slain civil rights leader Medgar Evers gave the invocation. James Taylor sang "America the Beautiful.” Kelly Clarkson delivered "My Country T'is of Thee." Beyonce' sang the National Anthem.

Chief Justice John Roberts swore in President Barack Obama for his second term and Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor swore in Vice President Biden. Both the President and Vice President were officially sworn in on yesterday, Jan. 20, in accordance with law.

After the inauguration celebration at the Capitol, a parade will bring the president back to the White House.
