Miami Valley , Whitewater Valley, and the I-71 corridor of Ohio/Indiana:
Scattered showers this morning will give way to widely scattered showers and a few isolated thunderstorms by the afternoon with some peaks of sun. Any sun ahead of the front will likely give way to thunderstorm development along the front by afternoon. This front will allow some mixing of air to give showers the ability to produce strong gusty winds at times. Winds may gust to 40 mph at times in the heavier showers and especially in any thunderstorms that may develop. Rain showers will become a steady rain tonight behind the cold front as a low tracks along the front just the our SE. This rain will eventually transition to wet snow by dawn bringing an inch or less on grassy surfaces as cold air is ushered in on very gusty winds overnight. Again gust may approach 40 mph from the NW as this low strengthens and moves NE. Tomorrow high pressure will settle in late bringing clearing skies by days end and lighter winds. Overnight temps will drop to the lower 20s in many locations. This will likely kill any tender vegetation that has started to grow over the last few days.Take precautions to cover and protect these plants. Milder air returns Wednesday and definitely Thursday as a SW wind begins to take hold ahead of our next weather maker. Friday another cold front will approach late in the day with breezy showery weather lasting into the night and early Saturday.
Cooler air settles in Easter weekend with a sun and clouds mix, chances for showers appear likely too as an upper level low keeps disturbed weather around.
