Scattered showers and thunderstorms redevelop late, some heavy

Miami Valley , Whitewater Valley, and the I-71 corridor of Ohio/Indiana:

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will redevelop late tonight along an advancing warm front that will lift through by dawn. A few of these storms will be capable of damaging winds and large hail. Heavy rainfall will be associated with the showers and more intense storms. Another 1 to 2 inches of rain on already saturated ground may cause more flooding concerns. Then a strong cold front will arrive by midday tomorrow bringing with it an narrow band of thunderstorms that may bring once again a severe threat and flooding. Due to the early nature of the front heating will be limited in the morning keeping storms a bit weaker. However there still remains a strong wind field with this system so any storms that develop will have to tap into very little to become strong. As the front clears the region strong winds to 45 mph will usher in cooler air late day and overnight tomorrow night. Temps over the weekend will be cooler with high pressure but skies will be clear.

Long range:
By Monday another strong storm system will approach from the SW bringing a return southerly flow and strong winds. This system has the potential to bring gusty winds to 40 mph as well as flooding concerns. Behind this system cooler air will be felt by mid-week.
