Scattered flurries possible today, arctic air to arrive over the weekend (Video)

A cold front will move across northeastern Ohio today. Most locations will see only scattered light snow showers or flurries with this system. A few heavier snow showers will be possible across the snow belt areas. High temperatures today will reach the low to mid 30s.

Tonight will be partly cloudy. There will be a chance of snow showers across the snow belt, but elsewhere it should be dry. Lows will fall to the teens overnight.

It will be partly to mostly cloudy on Friday. Any lingering snow showers across the snow belt will end. High temperatures will climb to the low 30s.

Friday night will be partly cloudy as high pressure moves across the region. Lows will be in the mid 20s.

As the high moves to our east on Saturday, mild southwesterly winds will help to boost temperatures into the 40s during the afternoon under mostly cloudy skies.

A strong arctic cold front will sweep across northeastern Ohio Saturday night. This front will be accompanied by scattered snow showers across the entire area. It will become windy as well with temperatures dropping to the low 20s overnight.

Much colder air will spread across the region from Sunday through the first half of next week. Persistent snow showers are expected, especially downwind of Lake Erie. Highs will reach the mid 20s on Sunday, but only reach the teens on Monday and Tuesday as the arctic air become entrenched across the area.
