Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-Va.) is glorifying the looming default, likening it to revolutionaries taking a stand against the British. Are they trying to spin their decision to let the U.S. default? Are we watching a train wreck in slow motion, just watching as our world changes?
I wrote a few poems for the October newsletter but did not post them because they were scary--they all started off: "We're here to warn you..." or something close to that. Here's one:
"We are here to tell you of a great change. Anything can happen. All news is good news.
That's a philosophy, not a fact.
We are here to warn you, and tell you specifically, we are in no man's land. This is no man's land territory.
We see the abyss.
We hear the cries.
We do nothing.
No sound is heard.
No songs uttered on the breath of next spring where the birds once were singing.
