Perilous Myr is a common addition to Magic: The Gathering's Scars of Mirrodin that is easy to play in any deck, and has a wealth of interactive possibilities within the set as well as being an excellent stand-alone card.
Perilous Myr

Artifact Creature - Myr Common
When Perilous Myr is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, it deals 2 damage to target creature or player.

While Perilous Myr may seem small and innocuous, this little mechanical munchkin can cause massive mayhem, and will often be utilized as a two for one tool in Limited play. Perilous Myr is an attacker that your opponent won't want to block, and functions as an incredibly effective defender as well.
Featuring a cheap 2 colorless mana cost, Perilous Myr fits into virtually any Scars of Mirrodin Limited deck template and provides an early game drop attached to some explosive removal. Perilous Myr can take out a wide variety of dangerous drops including the smith cycle and infect creatures.
But the fun doesn't end there. Your opponent will likely be letting your Perilous Myr in for a paltry point of damage per turn instead of taking a two for one trade, so it's time to consider equpping your Myr with things that will force your opponent to pay attention to our mechanoid friend.
Grafted Exoskeleton turns your Perilous Myr into something your opponent will be forced to deal with, and the 2 damage from removal will actually turn into infectious damage with the Exoskeleton attached.
While the Grafted Exoskeleton represents one of the nastiest things you can use on Perilous Myr, any power boosting equipment will do. Myr Reservoir and Prototype Portal allow repeated use of our explosively inclined Myr bomb.
Perilous Myr also contributes to your metalcraft count while still functioning as an impending shock, making it a valuable asset to get your Snapsail Gliders, Chrome Steeds, and other metalcraft cards online.
An excellent common card that romps across all Scars of Mirrodin archetypes, Perilous Myr should almost always make its way into your sealed deck and should be considered as an excellent middle-to-high pick in draft. Perilous Myr may look small, but comes with the potential for big impact.
