Graveyard recursion has always been a powerful ability in Limited Magic: The Gathering play, and Corpse Cur is Scars of Mirrodin's infectious Gravedigger.
Corpse Cur
4
Artifact Creature - Hound Common
Infect (This creature deals damage to players in the form of -1/-1 counters and to players in the form of poison counters)
When Corpse Cur enters the battlefield, you may return target creature card with infect from your graveyard to your hand.
2/2
While having a few Gravediggers in other Magic: The Gathering formats could lead to unlimited generation of 2/2 creatures, the Corpse Cur has many advantages over the popular black common. Since Corpse Cur has infect, several working together will lead to significant card advantage as the opposing creatures wither up and die as a result of combat with this artifact hound.
Corpse Cur is also an artifact, and while you're likely going to be forced into black or green if you're aiming for an infect deck, these colorless puppies are dangerous on their own, and terrifying in multiples.
4 is not the best price to pay for a 2/2 infect creature, but being able to snag a fallen Plague Stinger or another Corpse Cur upon entry make this card a true recurring nightmare in any Limited format. If you're lucky, you may even get a Putrefax, Skithiryx, or Prototype Portal to abuse with your ichor-laden hounds.
Since Corpse Cur gets better the more of them you have, drafting them early is essential if you're planning on forcing an infect strategy, and should be taken over many of the other infectious options. It's also a great idea to give some weight to Throne of Geth, as you'll be able to turn Ichorclaw Myr and Corpse Curs into direct infectious fun while at the same time ticking down the clock on any creatures that have come into contact with your poisonous denizens.
Any infect deck with three or four copies of Corpse Cur will have a serious edge, and pairing either black or green with Corpse Cur and then selecting an auxiliary color for removal options can be the start of an incredible and unexpected draft winner.
Next time you see Corpse Cur being passed in a Scars of Mirrodin draft, give consideration to these colorless card advantage curs.
