Although Johansson and her soon-to-be-husband remain mum on the birth, a spokesman for the actress released a statement to press.

"Johansson and her fiance, Romain Dauriac, have welcomed a baby girl, whom they've named Rose," The Associated Press announced on Sept. 4. "Mother and daughter are doing well."

The spokesman said the couple is requesting privacy at this time. He also noted that Johansson and Dauriac are supporters of the No Kids Policy, the celebrity effort to keep famous children out of the public eye.

Johansson began dating Dauriac in Nov. 2012 and became engaged to Dauriac, the owner of an independent advertising agency, in Sept. 2013. Prior to their relationship, Johansson was married to actor Ryan Reynolds, but the pair divorced in 2011.

In a recent interview with Vogue, Johansson revealed her preference for non-actors, when it came to her relationships.

"It is [easier], but it's more than that," Johansson told the magazine, via Us Weekly. "We do different things. He's in the whole art-scene world. So it's nice, because we can enjoy each other's worlds, but we don't have our crazy conflicting schedules and all that other stuff to contend with."
