When she started wearing what looked like an engagement ring, questions arose. Is Scarlett Johansson engaged? According to ABC News on Feb. 20, Johansson is not engaged despite wearing the ring.
Johansson made it pretty clear after her marriage to Ryan Reynolds dissolved that she wasn't in a hurry to tie the knot again. She actually said that marriage was not that important to her. She has said in interviews that she loved being married to Reynolds, and has great memories of the union, but she doesn't even think about marriage now unless someone asks her about it.
However, when she stepped out with her boyfriend Romain Dauriac, a French journalist, it looked like she was softening to the idea. According to Johansson's representatives, she is not engaged and was just wearing the ring for "no special reason." She has been dating Duriac since November 2012.
Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds began dating in 2007 and the two married in 2008. They shared a private marriage, mostly out of the public eye, which made their divorce in 2011 come as a shock. After that, Johansson was rumored to be dating Sean Penn before she began dating Duriac last year.
