Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn 'Not Dating'

Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn are "not dating" according to reps for the actors. Johansson, who is currently in the process of divorcing actor Ryan Reynolds, was allegedly smitten with the much older Penn.

"Scarlett Johansson is too young for Sean Penn," said Carol in Cleveland. According to People Magazine, Johansson's rep explained away the rumors in a statement about the alleged couple.

"Scarlett and Sean are not dating – they have been friends for years. Nothing more, nothing less," Johansson's rep revealed. "They have been talking over the last few months regarding Haiti Relief and Scarlett's upcoming trip to Haiti as Oxfam's Global Ambassador."

Rumors began to swirl around Penn, 50, and Johansson, 26, last month following Scarlett's split from Ryan Reynolds.
