Brand new "Avengers 2" rumors have popped up among the top news stories trending for entertainment on Thursday, Aug. 22. It's being rumored that the 2015 Marvel movie cast could include Scarlet Witch among the latest heroes in the "Age of Ultron" film, according to the website Bleeding Cool on Aug. 20.
The website indicated in their recent report that actress Elizabeth Olsen is rumored for the role of the Avengers character. The website noted that according to sources, Saoirse Ronan passed up the role of Wanda Maximoff, better known as The Scarlet Witch. Since Ronan didn't take the role, the rumor is that Joss Whedon and Marvel's next pick to play the character is Elizabeth Olsen. The website said that Olsen would need to work on her "European" accent to play the character, and that she could have a "scene-stealer of a part."
Among Olsen's work was the critically-acclaimed "Martha Marcy May Marlene" which had the actress nominated for, and winning, multiple awards. She starred in several films since then including the horror film "Silent House," and will be part of upcoming movies, "Oldboy," "Therese" and "Godzilla." Olsen also happens to be the younger sister of the "Full House" twins Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen.
Bleeding Cool goes on to say that "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is set to start production in the first few weeks of 2014. The movie is scheduled to come out in 2015, and should bring back at least a few of the actors from the first film as well.
