With the success of TVs Paranormal State, Lorraine Warren has become a household name. A Christian born with psychic abilities Lorraine made her first claim to fame alongside late hunband Ed Warren during the Amityville Horror in the 70s. Although some claim it was a hoax, the Warrens have stated that there was indeed a demonic presence in the Amityville NY home.

and she and late husband Ed became the first famous demonologists. Now, another case has been made famous in 2013's horror hit, The Conjuring (Watch attached movie trailer on video).
The case that inspired the film took place in Harrissville, R.I. in 1971. The Perron family of 7 endured both a home haunting, demonic oppression and possesions. The case involved poltergeist activity and the rancid smell that is often linked to evil spirits' presence.
