"Scandal" actress Kerry Washington often rocks tight-fitting frocks to show off her fabulous body, so a recent style switch to looser-fitting clothing has fans wondering if the star might be pregnant.
According to an Oct. 4 report by Hollywood Life, Kerry wore a "bulky, draped dress" during her recent appearance on "The Daily Show." The tabloid points out that Kerry has been wearing similar stomach-hiding styles for quite some time now. The actress also had a quickie wedding to husband Nnamdi Asomugha back in June, so perhaps she was in such a big rush to make it down the aisle because she was already with child. However, Kerry Washington shouldn't have felt the need to have a shotgun wedding—getting pregnant out of wedlock isn't much of a "Scandal" in Hollywood these days.
If Kerry is pregnant, it will be interesting to see if the pregnancy is written into the show. Can you imagine Olivia Pope adding a baby to the insanity that is her life? Perhaps the upcoming storyline of "Scandal" has something to do with why Kerry hasn't announced that she's pregnant—it's possible that she knows that her pregnancy is going to be written into the script, so she's not saying anything because she wants to save viewers from a major spoiler. Or perhaps she just likes to keep her personal life private. If she is pregnant, her belly will eventually speak for itself.
