Gladiators at large take note: According to an "Eonline" report earlier today, Aug. 20, “Scandal’s” hunky POTUS with a plethora of problems is adding another emotional struggle to his already burgeoning list. In Season 3’s fourth episode, Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) will reel from someone's death and will be rolling in guilt.
O.M.G.! Who is going to kick the bucket now? No worries, fans! According to the post it will not be a major character! Whew! However, the report did state Fitz is hiding something and his secret will be revealed “at the most inopportune time.”
Could this mean he was involved in yet another person’s death? Is he somehow connected to B613 and we don’t yet know it? The possibilities are endless and we can’t even begin to imagine what further dark secrets lay in this gorgeous man’s closet!
Gladiators are already gearing up and chomping at the bit for the “Scandal” Oct. 3 premiere and from the sounds of things, it’s going to be a doozy.
Recently-dubbed series regular Scott Foley will be returning to the show as dark and dashing Jake and series creator Shonda Rhimes told “Eonline” earlier this month that Jake will get out of the hole – thank God, but we don’t know the timing of his release.
The cast teased the first two episodes are going to be huge and Foley marked his reaction to the first script this way: "Oh my god they're there? Oh my god, what are they doing together? You won't believe who's working with who. Or who's colluding with who. It's very secretive but exciting."
It already took a long time to pick our jaws up off of the floor after we thought David was handing his friends to the mole on a silver platter. Who else is working together in a possibly unsavory way? Hopefully Cyrus (Jeff Perry) hasn’t totally turned to the dark side, because his connection to Olivia’s daddy and the deadly B613 organization still hasn’t fully been explained.
Speaking of Daddy dearest, we’re obviously going to learn a lot about Olivia’s past and just what she knows of her father’s professional “activities” throughout the upcoming season. True to “Scandal” form, though, we'll most likely be spoon-fed this information as Shonda Rhimes and company sees fit to let us have it.
We've got some obvious burning questions: Is Olivia close to her dad? Is he the one that leaked her affair with Fitz? Does he want his own daughter dead, or is he trying in some twisted way to protect her?
Plus, in the same "Eonline" report, leading man Tony Goldwyn and his onscreen lady love Kerry Washington teased that the first two episodes just "might break Twitter." Goldwyn said, “I have a line in episode two that will definitely break Twitter.” Washington added that they’re already planning t-shirts and hashtags.
Color us stumped and stammering for more!
“Scandal” returns to WJRT ABC12 in Flint on October 3, 2013.
