"Scandal" is back in a big way on ABC, and now fans are being given a look at tonight's new episode. On Wednesday, Oct. 9, The Official Scandal Facebook shared a sneak peek for "Scandal" episode 3.02 titled "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner." Josh Malina also went to his Twitter on Thursday morning to send a message to fans of the show. Check out the previously released photos for the next two episodes here and here.
The sneak peek from Facebook shows Olivia's speech in front of the press, and she condemns the White House for their actions. She is taking on the woman's case pro bono, and she pretty much throws Fitz's organization under the bus.
A second sneak peek from Spoiler TV shows Fitz talking to Cyrus and Mellie. They have a plan for covering the leak, but he is not ready to follow it. He has his own plan, and it involves Olivia helping the woman that was named as his mistress on the last episode. Of course, her speech helps the woman, but it does put Fitz in a good light either.
The "Scandal" cast does have a heavy social media presence. Kerry Washington tweeted about the series first thing this morning, and Josh Malina went to his Twitter to tell fans a special hashtag to use for tonight's episode. He said the following:
Remember, the hashtag we want trending tonight is #MoreDavid. This is not from me. It's an ABC thing. #Scandal
As for the series, Darby Stanchfield has spoken out about the character Lisa Kudrow will play on the series, and "Friends" fans will not see Phoebe 2.0. Stanchfield said the following to TV Line:
Our characters get along. She’s almost like a mentor. Not quite like Olivia, but Abby admires the heck out of her, so it was fun to play. You’re not getting Phoebe. It’s kind of amazing what you are going to get. You’re getting the spicy version in that variety pack.
Kudrow will play a smart and powerful politician, and her character will arrive during the Oct. 24 episode. "Scandal" will continue to air on ABC on Thursday nights.
