Jerry and Karen Grant are finally appearing at The White House. TVLine reported on Wednesday, February 5 that the ABC drama "Scandal" has cast the roles of Jerry and Karen Grant, the children of current President Fitzgerald Grant and First Lady Mellie Grant. Dylan Minnette was landed the role of Jerry and actress Madeline Carroll has won the role of Karen, and both are expected to appear on the fifteenth episode of season three.

Minnette was most recently seen in an episode of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" and played the son of surgeon and survivor Jack Shephard on ABC's drama "LOST." He is also the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the rock band The Narwhals, which was formed in 2010 under the name The Feaver. The character of Jerry Grant is described as "quiet and intense" and there's the possible truth that Jerry is actually Fitz's half brother.

Carroll has landed guest starring roles on television dramas like "LOST," "Private Practice" and "Grey's Anatomy." Her film work includes starring opposite Jackie Chan in the comedy "The Spy Next Door," "Mr. Popper's Penguins," and the film version of the novel "Flipped." The character of younger sister Karen is described as "self-assured and older than her years,"and takes after her mother.

"Scandal" will return with it's eleventh episode of the third season, "Ride, Sally, Ride" on Thursday, February 27 at 10 p.m. The children are mentioned throughout the series by both Mellie and Fitz but this is the first time they will appear on screen. Their episode will air at the end of March and the remaining three episodes will air in April. The season has been shortened to accommodate Kerry Washington's pregnancy, and there is no word on a fourth season yet.
