The second half of Season 3 of the hit show “Scandal” is scheduled to kick off Feb 27 and TV Line posted on Dec 6 that Jon Tenney will join the cast. Tenney played Fritz on the TNT hit “The Closer”. The fall finale of “Scandal” is set to air next Thursday and Tenney’s recurring part will begin Feb 27 with the final 8 episodes of the season.

While the reps for ABC will not give away too many secrets regarding the character Tenney will play, it is rumored that he will be a love interest for Bellamy Young’s character Mellie. Earlier this week it was reported that a character named Andrew would be joining the cast as a suitor for a main character. Everyone is guessing this is Tenney and the main character is Mellie!

This new casting emerges this week along with news that season 3 has been reduced from 22 to 18 episodes. It is speculated that the cause of this is Kerry Washington’s pregnancy.

Don’t miss the fall finale of “Scandal” Thursday on ABC at 9 P.M CST.
