‘Scandal’ season 3: Nazanin Boniadi cast for recurring role

Nazanin Boniadi is joining the cast of “Scandal” for its final 8 episodes of season 3. Yahoo! reported on Feb. 11 that Boniadi would have a major recurring role beginning with the show’s return on Feb. 27. It is not yet being released exactly who her character will be. “Scandal” creator Shonda Rhimes is being very quiet about the new cast addition.

Boniadi is most recently known for her recurring role on “How I Met Your Mother.” She played Nora, Barney Stinson’s ex-girlfriend, on the CBS comedy. Boniadi was also an actress in season 3 of “Homeland.” Her character was an FBI analyst named Fara Sherazi on the Showtime drama. This is also not her first time working with Rhimes. They two worked together previously when Boniadi guest starred on “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Fans of “Scandal” will have to wait and speculate exactly how she will fit into the storyline. No doubt it will shock and entertain viewers!

New episodes of “Scandal” will air Feb. 27 on ABC at 9 P.M. CST.
