It was summer. I was an innocent bystander. Then it happened. I decided to watch one episode of Scandal to pass an hour of time. Suddenly, I was addicted. It became my Candy Crush. Before I knew it, I was watching Seasons 1 & 2 back-to-back in one weekend. When I finally got to Season two's last episode during my marathon session, I had so many questions: How was Olivia Pope going to get out of her own Lewinski-type scandal? Why did her father try to have her killed? Was Huck going to find his family? The list of questions went on, so I waited in anticipation for October 3 to get some of them answered.
Fast forward to last night. Scandal's third season premiered and opened with a big bang. About 90% of the people I know, including myself, were glued to the television for the first new episode in months. My social network feeds were blown up with pictures of Kerry Washington and statuses about what was happening during the show.
So, is Scandal still worth it? In my opinion, Scandal hasn't lost its magic touch. Because I don't want to give away too much of the plot because some people may not have had the chance to see it, I will say that there were a lot of major twists and turns. Also, two of my many questions were finally answered...at least for now anyway.
Of course, we were left hanging until next Thursday, but I think Shonda Grimes loves it this way. Hey, it keeps us watching.
