An upstate dog is looking for a forever home after the death of his owner, Facebook: Holly's Haven Pet Rescue reported February 9.
Aragon isn't just any dog. He's a three-year-old Ridgeback.Shar-Pei mix who's experienced the trauma of watching his owner take his own life. Aragon's owner took very good care of him. He's healthy, loves everyone and is totally house broken.
Aragon is also well behaved around cats, and enjoys a good ride in the car. In other words, this gentle 96 pound giant will make someone special a wonderful companion.
Aragon was turned in to Greenville County Animal Care Services, which is a high-kill shelter. Aragon became sick and sick hold was full. Without Holly's Haven Pet Rescue, he would have been euthanized due to health issues.
Aragon has been in foster care, where his foster mom has taught him to sit and to speak. He also believes he's a lap dog, and will attempt a cuddle and a face licking any chance he gets.
Aragon has been neutered, micro-chipped and is current on his vaccines. He's also heartworm negative.
The rescue believes he would make a great companion, whether he's brought to live in a house, an apartment or a town home.
Right now Aragon needs a loving home, so he can get on with his life. He needs someone to fill the empty space in his heart that his master once filled. Are you that special someone?

Please share Aragon with friends, especially those in upstate South Carolina, who may be looking for a larger dog. Remember, big dogs make great cuddle-babies during these cold winter months.
