The Pacific Justice Institute reported on Thursday that Senate Bill 323, or the "Values Tax", but also known as "The Anti-Boy Scout Bill", has just been placed on the inactive file in the state assembly. The bill, introduced by Sen Ricardo Lara, an open homosexual, was designed to strip away tax exemptions from youth organizations which refused to embrace homosexuality or other alternative lifestyles.
As the Pacific Justice Institute has noted, Sen Ricardo Lara has been very open about his intention of forcing fellow Californians to embrace his homosexual lifestyle and personal views, or else pay a price for it. In the case of the SB 323, this would mean that organization like the Boy Scouts of America would lose certain tax-exemptions.
In the state assembly, as PJI explains, the vote required at least a two-thirds vote due to the fact that this piece of legislation would function as a tax increase. Although the bill passed in the senate, the likelihood of it being passed in the assembly was questionable. As a result, the bill was placed in the inactive file for the remainder of the year.
As PJI explains, although this is a minor - and perhaps temporary victory for supporters of traditional gender roles and American freedom - it is imperative that Californians remain vigilant.
Brad Dacus, President of the Pacific Justice Institute, added:
"Forcing Boy Scouts to allow biological females to camp with the boys because they identify as boys is ludicrous. SB 323 makes the atrocious attempt to force organizations to ultimately choose between changing their moral beliefs to align with those of the oppressive LGBT lobby, or shutting down their organization all together."
America's freedoms, it appears, are now under attack from within.....
