Saying the name of Jesus

How hard is it to say the name of Jesus? Those of you readers who are strong and zealous Christians are probably thinking it’s not hard at all, but has anyone noticed that when modern Christians talk about Christianity or salvation, they say "God" or "My Lord," maybe even a little of "Christ" every now and then, but not so much JESUS. I’m just concerned about how His name got to be such a quiet reference.

It’s easy for people to say that Jesus was a good man or that Jesus was a prophet or just that Jesus had a life once and then died. Even Agnostics and Atheists may agree to almost or all of those statements. Yet, as soon as folks start proclaiming "Jesus is Lord," it’s a whole new ball game.

* There is a song called "Say the Name"

In my experience talking with others, people tend to mutter the name Jesus or say it softer than all of the other words in a sentence. They speak in riddles and simply say that they pray to God. Of course, God does hear and answer prayer, but he robed himself in humanity in order for us to know the power in the blood that was shed and the power we have in the name of Jesus. For this reason, Jesus’ name should be shared boldly to the world. There is no shame in it! If we are ashamed of him, he will be ashamed of us in the end.

There is no other name in heaven or earth by which we can be saved! The name of Jesus is powerful! It is stronger than the finite things of this world and holds within it the mighty love of God and his strong arm. Don’t just paste a bumper sticker to your car or adhere the ‘hooked on Jesus’ fish on your trunk, say the name of Jesus!

Very bold my sister, Very VERY BOLD. So True though it almost makes people shake to hear that name today. I have a shirt that says it is restricted in 40 Nations to speak on Jesus and hostile in 11 countries. Ether way in the end every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess. Might as well confess his name now. AMEN
