The French do it better.
Calling all vino-loving vixens: Maison 140 is your new Wednesday night destination. (C'mon, you can TIVO "Glee" and "So You Think You Can Dance" — there is wine and cheese tasting to be done!)
The Beverly Hills-based boutique hotel's Bar Noir has partnered with Malibu Family Wines to introduce the "Vin Et Fromage" tasting series, which will be held every Wednesday in September and October. For $35, you'll taste three locally-sourced wines along with a selection of artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, and fruit. Red enthusiasts are likely to dig the Saddlerock Pinot Noir 2007 (which blends tea leaf and clove flavors) and the Semler Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 (a potpourri of brandied cherry, blackberry, and plum), while those who prefer white will enjoy the Saddlerock Chardonnay 2006 (laced with Braeburn apples, lemon blossom, and honeysuckle). We say oui to all of the above!
