Get your Greek on at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox's festival the weekend of June 6-8. Cover bands, Greek bouzouki music and Greek dancing await you, and some of the best Greek food in the region. Experience souvlaki (shish kebab), saganaki (flaming cheese), gyros, barbecued lamb, Greek chicken and more.
The weather in Northwest Indiana is perfect for an outdoors fest like this one. Dine alfresco or inside, as you wish. Most of the food is handled with tickets, but the homemade pastries and alcoholic drinks are on a cash basis. And wait til you see the pastries spread! There are Greek icons and literature to purchase as well.
There is no cover charge, and the fest is open to all ages. Come on out, people watch, nosh, dance, grab a game of bingo and, generally, get your Opa! on.
