Country band Sawyer Brown will perform at the 2012 fair, Stanislaus County Fair officials announced Thursday.
It will be a lucky Friday the 13th for Sawyer Brown fans as the band takes to the Budweiser Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m.
Admission to the concert is included with fair admission.
The concert will be hosted by KAT Country 103.
Sawyer Brown is the first act to be announced as performers at the fair, which is scheduled for July 13-22.
The band first hit the charts in 1985 with their self-titled debut album.
It reached No. 2 on the Billboard Country Album chart. It yielded three hit singles, "Step that Step" (which reached No. 1), "Used to Blue" and "Leona."
The band has had eight top 10 country albums and 19 top 10 country singles.
They hit their stride in the 1990s, when they earned 10 ACM, TNN and CMT awards.
