Sure you can get free books for the Kindle. But did you know that you can get free access to hundreds of magazines as well? If you want to try out a magazine and you have a Kindle device, you can do it for free.
All Kindle magazine subscriptions come with a 30-day free trial. Depending on when you decide to preview a magazine, you can get up to two issues for free. This is a huge money save. I realized this recently when I started to research beading projects for my Etsy shop.
I searched the Kindle store from my Kindle Fire in the newsstand section. I looked in the DIY and crafts section and found several magazines of interest. I then chose to subscribe.
Your credit card is not charged until the 30th day of your subscription. Keep track of when you placed your order. If you do not want the magazine, go to your Kindle subscriptions and cancel before day 30. This way, you can check out the magazines for free. Cancel those you don’t want and keep those that you do (for a fee.)
If I would have purchased each of these magazines at the store, they would have cost me over $50. For me, it was a huge savings. I plan to subscribe to a couple of the publications—it is a win-win situation for readers and publishers.
