Saving money and going greener with mobile loyalty program coupons

See also

Saving money is always my goal when I am out shopping, and now it’s getting even easier with mobile loyalty program coupons. I am not just talking about programs such as Cellfire that have been around for a while, but programs such as CVS’ ExtraBucks that allow you to “zap” your coupon directly to your ExtraCare card, which you can then retrieve at checkout using your phone number. It’s just awesome. No more having to remember to bring your coupons to the store.

While I still do a fair amount of newspaper hunting for coupons, I am increasingly looking for opportunities where I can load savings quickly to my loyalty program, or credit card. One of my most frequently used sources of these coupons has been CVS. Since I signed up for their email offers and shop there quite often, they send me 20-25% off coupons regularly. The emails give me an option to send the coupon to my loyalty card instead of having to print it, saving ink and paper.

Now, you can go green, and save green, while using digital coupons.
