The skeletal dog weighed a mere 47 pounds and he was so frail that his very survival was uncertain.

Thanks to efforts by the Westside German Shepherd Rescue, Rambo made a full recovery and he has even found a new family to call his own.

A video chronicling his rescue was published just two days ago, and it has been included here as well.

Sometimes, despite the odds set against them, the beleaguered do make it - congratulations on your new life Rambo.
