'Saved By the Bell' reunion could still happen (Photos)

“Boy Meets World” is set to give fans a dose of nostalgia later this year when the spin-off show titled “Girl Meets World” airs. Of course, pop culture fans are now hoping that some of their other favorite shows will reunite for reunion specials and on January 22, TMZ revealed that a “Saved By the Bell Reunion” could be happening.

That’s right kids, Zack Morris, Kelly Kapowski, and Lisa Turtle could very well return to your television screens for a reunion type special. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but one of the key characters is all for it!

Not only did Mark-Paul Gosselaar tell the gossip site he would watch the new “Boy Meets World” show but also, “maybe we'll do a reunion as well.”

Of course, millions of twenty and thirty something women are incredibly excited, hoping that their favorite Saturday morning show will make a come-back. The original show aired from 1989-1993 and was followed by “The College Years” (which only lasted one season), and “The New Class” (which lasted from 1993-2000, but only had original cast members Dennis Haskins and Dustin Diamond.)

It is best to keep in mind that nothing has been set in stone and this is only something that Mark-Paul Gosselaar wants to see happen. It is unclear where the other cast members stand on this.

Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, who played peppy cheerleader Kelly Kapowski, recently showed off her rockin body for a stripped down shoot. She is 38-years-old, but you couldn’t tell from the photos. While she didn’t discuss a reunion special, she did admit that she felt “pressure” to look a certain way in Hollywood.

Elizabeth Berkely is now a mother. Would she be interested in reprising her role as Jessie Spano?

Mario Lopez has had a lot of success post “Bell,” so it is unclear if he would want to reappear as A.C. Slater, but there is no doubt it wouldn’t be a reunion without him.

Lisa Turtle actress Lark Voorhies recently was rumored to be bi-polar. While the actress denied these claims, both her mother and co-star Dustin Diamond have made claims saying otherwise.

Diamond may not exactly be welcome back to a reunion, either! His co-stars weren’t too happy when he released a “tell-all” in 2006. Diamond, who played Screech, hasn’t had the most successful career since leaving behind his character in 2000, but could there really be a “Saved By the Bell” reunion without him?

And, of course, Dennis Haskins who played Mr. Belding would need to sign on (at least for guest spots!) to make the show complete!

What do you think about Mark-Paul Gosselaar comments? Would you watch a “Saved By the Bell” reunion or would you prefer there to be a spin-off?
