If you have back to school shopping to do, or simply want to shave a few extra dollars off your shopping in general, you can save with the upcoming tax-free weekend in South Florida.

Every year, there's a sales tax holiday throughout many states, usually in the first couple of weekends in August geared towards back to school shopping. Florida's tax-free weekend 2013 is this weekend, August 2, 2013 through August 4, 2013.

Do note, however, the tax exemption doesn't apply to all items, and has a maximum spend limit. For Florida, here's the breakdown:

  • School supplies – $15 maximum
  • Clothing – $75 maximum
  • Computers – $750 maximum
