Save The Quiet Cottage

See also

Back in the 1952 film 'The Quiet Man', which starred John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara in the John Ford classic, there was a small cottage which currently lies in ruins. This cottage, The White O'Morn, was an actual Historical Family Home dating back to pre-1820.

Many visitors to Ireland would like to see this piece of movie history and country history restored to the beauty of the original home. Folks have begun Facebook pages and Petitions to request the Galway County Council to list the cottage as a Historical Sight to the Registry of Protected Structures. People are attempted to have the council protect the structure from further deterioration.

Help save The Quiet Cottage by signing the petition on Change.org, which Maureen O’Hara has also signed and liking the Facebook page; White O'Morn Foundation. The cottage is one of the iconic Irish thatched homes and a centerpiece from the John Wayne film.
