The Izaak Walton League of America (IWLA) is offering a workshop, "Save Our Streams," on Oct 26 at the Sligo Chapter of the IWLA in Gaithersburg. The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Save Our Streams teaches people to determine the water quality of streams by collecting and identifying the insects that live in them. The Irvine Nature Center is hosting the 2013 OWN IT Summit on Oct 26. The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aimed at people between 16 and 28, the Summit will be led by representatives from Outdoor Nation, a movement run by young people dedicated to outdoor issues.
