Save money on your grocery bill

The majority of people spend most of their expendable monthly budget on groceries. If you plan ahead, shop smart, and stick to a budget, you will begin to see the dollars add up at the end of the month!

Plan ahead! Have a weekly budget for food, and pick one convenient day to do all of your shopping.

Plan what you are going to eat for each meal that week. Having a set plan eliminates having to dig into your wallet for take-out or fast food.

Come prepared! Use your store's sale paper as a guide to what your meals will be. If beef roast is on sale, make a beef roast one night! Then get creative! Take part of that beef roast and make tasty beef tacos the next night.

Clip coupons. It may seem tedious, but the savings from coupons can really add up. These days they're not only in your Sunday paper. Websites like coupons.com allow you to search for coupons for products you use. You can find coupons at the product's website or even on the product itself (i.e. on the back of the box).

Avoid convenience products. Sure the already shredded cheese and precut veggies can save you time, but the cost if often not worth it!

Remember! Don't get bargain happy! Sometimes the idea of saving a few bucks on a product are so enticing you forget that you actually don't use it! If it's going to sit on your shelf or in your fridge until you end up throwing it away, it's a waste!
