Sure you can go to the Dollar Store and purchase gift wrap. You may be thinking that is the most economical way to go. However, I have some other ideas. You can use things from around your house to wrap your gifts, and yes they will still look pretty!
The news paper is a great wrapping paper alternative!
Use the brighter sections like the comics and bring color under your tree.
Take out menus:
You know you have a couple dozen of them stashed away in your kitchen junk drawer. Go though them and remove all old ones and doubles. These will work out great to wrap small boxes.
Magazine pages:
You can use these to wrap small boxes.
If you wrap yarn or ribbon around any of these wrapped gifts, they will look wonderful!
If you have a gift that has been placed into a box, solid, colored or with a picture, why wrap it at all? Tie it up with some pretty ribbons and a bow!
No paper handy?
Use fabric to wrap your gifts? If you have some scrap fabric, use it in the place of wrapping paper rather than letting it go to waste! Use a ribbon at the top to tie the fabric or use hot glue to holf it together If using hot glue, be careful not to get it on your gift.
You can always recycle your gift bags as well. They do not have to be Christmas themed. You can use any solid color bag to wrap a gift for Christmas.
