Save Animal Shelter enters Morven Festival of Trees event

Looking for a holiday activity for the family?  Why not visit the “Festival of Trees” at the Morven Museum & Garden in Princeton.  SAVE, A Friend to Homeless Animals has sponsored a tree dedicated to all the dogs and cats currently available at the shelter.

Smartly decorated with photos of actual adoptable pets housed at the shelter, this display is sure to pull on a few heart strings.  These well-deserving cats and dogs are looking for their “Home for the Holidays” and you can help.

The trees went on display November 30 and the exhibit runs through January 8.  After viewing the SAVE tree in the Center Hall, please be sure to make your way to the second floor of the museum and cast your vote for SAVE to help them win the “People’s Choice Award” for Best of Trees.  Your support will go a long way in helping to promote their mission.

Founded in 1941, SAVE is an independent non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Adoption, and Humane Education, SAVE focuses on the rehabilitation and successful placement of treatable and adoptable animals. SAVE endeavors to build, foster, and strengthen the human-animal bond.

SAVE operates as a limited admission shelter with contracts to serve Princeton Township, Princeton Borough and Lawrence Township animal control centers. SAVE depends mostly on private contributions to support its six core programs. The shelter facility houses approximately 75 dogs and cats at a time, and helps an average of 400 animals a year.
