Ella at the Humane Society for Greater Savannah Brownie at the Coastal Pet Rescue
“Savannah Rescue Spotlight” is a rescue dog or cat from a local shelter that is in need of adoption. The featured rescue’s are as follows:
- Ella is at the Humane Society for Greater Savannah. This lovely young lady has been with them since September 2009. She is quite a fun and playful feline! Ella came there with kittens who, with the exception of her son Bud that’s still here, have since been adopted. Ella would be okay alone but flourishes when she’s with other animals. We know she’d be perfect with kids too. Her adoption fee is $25. This includes: her being current on all vaccinations (except rabies) and heartworm prevention, spaying, microchipping, a free vet exam, capstar, and Sheltercare pet insurance for thirty days. Applications must be submitted between February 28th - March 6th.
- Brownie is at the Coastal Pet Rescue. Brownie is a toy Chihuahua that weighs 3-1/4 pounds. He is about a year old, having been purchased at the local flea market as a puppy. He is about 80% house trained and is learning to sit before he gets his treat. He really craves attention and likes to be cuddled up next to you whenever you are sitting and will follow you all over the house when you are not. He prefers to sleep with you curled up right under you, but his caretaker has been crating him at night since Brownie usually has to go potty in the middle of the night. He does not bark alot unless you are playing with him or if someone comes in the house. He is very excitable and ready to play and be petted the minute you walk in the door and he has learned what "no biting" means. Special Medical Information: Unfortunately he will jump out of your arms if you are not holding him tight, and having done that out of the arms of his 6'4" caretaker, little Brownie ended up with his foot in a cast. He's healing well. He was rescued Feb 25th. Adoption fee is $150 that includes his shots, neuter, microchip, 30 days pet insurance, and training DVDs.

Beautiful babies. Wish i had room for more. If i won the lotto i would buy land and rescue a whole heart load of them.
Pandy I hear you. My dream is to have a kennel for boarding but also double as a shelter for a few. Of course it does not help that the pictures I put on here of the shelter babies are just the cutest. I mean how could you not love that Chihuahua mix? I just love the kitties too. Thanks for the comments and have a wonderful day.
