The Savannah-Chatham Police Department made a statement yesterday morning that a double-homicide suspect might be in the Marietta area. Residents are urged to to look out for the assailant, who has been in hiding since this year's July 30 murders.

According to authorities, David Randy Daniels Jr., 21, is charged with the reported shooting death of two teens: Dominique Bright, 18, and Syheem Spaulding, 15. The shooting allegedly happened after a botched drug transaction. Daniels is also wanted on an aggravated assault charge. He reportedly also shot Sha’nai Harris, 15, who was riding her bicycle near the crime scene. The incident took place East 39th and Cedar streets, close to downtown Savannah.

Along with the Marietta area, Daniels could possibly be in Atlanta, Florida, or the Carolinas. He is a black male, stands approximately 5-foot-10, and weighs 180 pounds. Police warn that Daniels is considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach him.

If you are in the Atlanta area, including Marietta, call Crimestoppers in Savannah at 877-691-8899. You can also send a text message to CRIMES (274637). A cash reward may be involved for anyone leading to the arrest of Daniels.
