On tonight's episode of "Savage Family Diggers" former pro-wrestler Ric Savage and his family; wife Rita, and sons G and Nick dig for hidden treasures with their family business American Savage. When two of Ric's associates left the business, he turned it to a family team.
They were in Cape Fear, N.C., where they were looking for relics from the Civil War. The first find they made was what they believed was a Civil War relic, but someone got there before and left them a fake belt buckle. Ric's sons convinced him that they have sophisticated equipment than any people who may have invaded the place illegally.
The first thing they found was an air-raid siren used during WWII to identify sightings of German U-boats. They also found a giant cannonball that weighed about 150 pounds. It took Ric and the boys to winch it out of the mud. Rita and Ric found buttons from a coat; however, there were both Union and Confederate buttons. Ric told Rita that towards the end of the Civil War, as supplies were getting scarce, fallen soldiers provided the items needed for the survivors. One of the buttons was a Confederate Engineer's button.
Ric brought his finds to a collector. When he brought the engineer's button, the collector was as excited as Ric. Ric settled for $2,200 for the items, including the cannonball. After agreeing to a 70/30 split, they came away with $1,540 and a big "Boom Baaaaaaaaby" yell for the "Savage Family Diggers."
