Many bands play through Monday. The festival also features all kinds of food, Stella Artois beer, champagne and other adult beverages and yes, not only art but artists.

Functional art includes furniture from exquisite carved tables and chairs to hand crafted glass lamps and silver candlesticks.

There's something for everybody whether traditional or contemporary, whimsical or functional, between 2-D mixed media, 3-D mixed media, ceramics, digital art, fiber, glass, jewelry, painting, photography, print making, sculpture and wood work.

Personally I'm going to check out the following after browsing the list.

Generally I'll check out art about sail boats or Sausalito houseboats, the North Bay coastline, vineyards.

Jim DeWitt, a Marin sailor and racer, painted spectacular racing scenes from the America's Cup, bursting with color and energy.

Mel Ashar of San Francisco photographs contemporary scenes, city scapes, sea scapes, landscapes.

Zeny Cieslikowski photographs European subjects as well as boats and harbors.

Many of the photographers exhibiting work out of the Bay Area. The majority of artists work out of California but some come from as far away as Argentina. You will see Utah, Georgia, Michigan, New Mexico, Idaho, Iowa, Washington and more.

If you love the whimsical--Christine Kendrick, San Francisco, functional art.

Luxury yacht fixtures of glass--Dehanna Jones from Seattle. I've visited the glass studio there under the monorail and seen the hot glass come right from the fire in the ovens. Seattle has more boats per capita than any other American city so no wonder the art reflects that.

I'm heading for Glass Weavers. Check out amazing tapestries woven with glass strands.

On the other hand there's the elegant scarves of Kate Beck with a studio in New Orleans.

Speaking of wearable art. Jewelry by Sarah Jane Hassler, SF.

Katya Wittenstein jewelry, Sausalito.

Note the ferry makes extra runs to Sausalito for the festival. Free shuttles run from the various 5parking lots in Sausalito to the festival. The bike coalition has free valet bike parking.
