SAUNDER FW 2014 collection: Mixing vintage flair with contemporary accents

Recently, the SAUNDER Fall/Winter 2014 collection was presented at The High Line Hotel in Chelsea. Designed by Emily Saunder, it blends inspirations from the film noir era with those of the 1980s era. The collection is evocative, playful, bold, and uniquely contemporary. Velvet, suede, fringe, leather, and plaid are some of the elements that are used in the collection. The dominant colors that carry through the collection include black, brown, teal, pink, and gold. Emily Saunder also collaborated with Megan Isaacs to develop a jewelry collection, which is called MEGAN ISAACS for SAUNDER, that highlights the film noir and pop culture elements.

Highlights from the collection included a brown velvet long sleeve seductive dress, a sleeveless pink multi-print dress, a black and gold sequin fringe dress with straps, a brown and white bomber jacket paired with a teal skirt, and a green velvet short sleeve multi-print mini-dress. The collection certainly shimmers with confident appeal, show-stopping designs, and sophisticated silhouettes!
