Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer focused on devices. Nadella has noted that while the focus on devices and services was helpful in starting a transformation for the firm, now it is necessary to hone in on Microsoft's unique strategy. Nadella sees Microsoft at its core as being a productivity and platform company for the new mobile-first and cloud-first world. His comment that Microsoft will "reinvent productivity to empower every person and every organization on the planet to do more and achieve more" is refreshing and inspiring. This is the kind of positive psychology which moves a firm's employees to produce at their best and gains the trust of customers.

It has been said that Nadella has a desire to shake up Microsoft's work culture which in the past has been known to be prone to infighting and viscous cutthroat office politics. He has a dream of empowering every employee to effect the change they want. All along Nadella has not lost a focus on an interest in also working to modernize the firm's engineering processes and meet the expectations of the customer's needs. With the passion of someone obsessed with success and likely to meet new horizons of success with those he works with Nadella also stated the way for Microsoft to move forward is by adopting a "customer-obsessed, data-driven, speed-oriented and quality-focused" company.

Nadella has said Microsoft helps people get stuff done reports PC World. The focus which Nadella stresses for Microsoft is on productivity anywhere and everywhere. The mobile-first and cloud-first world which he envisions for Microsoft lets people do the same high quality work in the office as by the swimming pool during a summer vacation. Nadella is a visionary who seems destined to help more and more people become empowered with new insights by putting some trust in what Microsoft has to offer.
